After our exhilarating show at Aeronaut Brewing Company in Somerville we have taken some time to edit and mix some of that very music for release! Updates very soon on that, we’ve always prided ourselves on being improvisers and live recording can bring out something special. We also have shows coming up for Winter 2015/16! At O’brien’s Pub on Saturday December 5th and with the help of WEMF Radio, another on Saturday January 16th at PA’s Lounge. In addition to that we have videos on the way for your hearing and viewing pleasure.

Woah…its been awhile. Job Creators has been busy this Summer preparing new music for an album due out this Fall and we wanted to share an exclusive look at one of the songs Mass Effect. This is the first track to be released where Tim is playing drums and synthesizer simultaneously! Check out the music and video below! Being a young band… by band standards… because we’re, like, old.
Or at least middle age, when it comes to musicians… we decided to take stock of what awaited us starting off in Boston.
Beings fans of math rock and most creative musics we found ourselves among great company in the Boston area.
Here are five math rock bands from Boston-ish that you should know about, and who we greatly enjoy…in no particular order. Our resident drummer Tim, (also the drummer for the band DOZE) had a show with one of the bands on our list, Ghosts of Sailors at Sea. They just released a killer new album that can be heard below.
What is it about math rock? Is it the constant, organized chaos of all the instruments clashing together?
The total unpredictability of the rhythm and the plain WEIRD sounds the bands produce?
Maybe it’s just the fact that no math rock band will ever, ever get famous.
Whatever it is, the harmonious chaos that is math rock makes it perfect for commuting: by car, foot, subway… land, sea or air.
